T.B. Joshua 54th Birthday

How T.B. Joshua wants his 54th Birthday celebrated, calls upon his followers to remember the poor and vulnerable in society in the month of June.

Renowned Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua turned 54 on Monday, 12th June, 2017. The importance of this occasion was evident in the church on 11th June, 2017 as his followers from around the world gathered at the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria to celebrate with the Prophet.

As he appeared in their midst for his day’s sermon, the church burst in excitement and sung happy birthday to the Prophet.

Speaking on his popular global channel, Emmanuel TV and in his usual characteristically unconventional style, he called upon his followers and well wishers worldwide for the focus of the celebration to be redirected towards care for the poor and vulnerable people in society as best way to commemorate his birthday.

Born on 12th June, 1963 in Nigeria, T.B. Joshua’s rise from a poverty stricken home to an internationally renowned minister of God is remarkable and he attributes this to his faith. He told the church that the best time to give is when you have nothing, emphasizing that the gift we give to this category of less-privileged people is rendered unto God.

“If what you have in your pocket is just an amount for transport to take you home, that is what you should give”. The man of God went on to cite as an example from what he did some years back when he entered secondary school. He narrated to the church how he selflessly gave out the school fees given to him by his parents to a schoolmate who was crying for lack of school fees. He told the church that he knew that if he gave out that money he would himself be lacking but he was convinced that that was the best thing to do, to help his colleague. The man of God also said that he did not inform his parents what he had done but found a way of raising the money for his school fees by doing laborious peace work.

On this day, His sermon was premised on the giving that pleases God.

“This is the time to go to the elderly, widows, widowers, physically challenged and the less-privileged in our society to share our love and care.” “Your compassion, your care is not limited to money; you can help with anything, from today throughout this week and month of June go out and give to the needy.” T.B. Joshua urged well wishers.

“You are not celebrating his physical being but celebrate T.B. Joshua, his divine nature; this is the life of the man we are celebrating. Let us celebrate his journey so far. Let us celebrate his divine nature.” The man of God reminded the church and millions of viewers on his popular Emmanuel TV. T.B. Joshua is the general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, located at Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos State, Nigeria.
